This also allows for a more manageable number of vehicles for timing and scoring, ensuring that the competition runs smoothly.
SARC 1: Four-wheel drive production modified vehicles with an unrestricted engine capacity fitted with sequential gearboxes

SARC 2: Four-wheel drive turbo/super charged production modified vehicles with an unlimited engine capacity fitted with H-pattern gearboxes will be classified in this Group. Straight-cut dog box gearboxes will be permissible

SARC 3: Two-wheel and Four-wheel drive normally aspirated unrestricted production vehicles with an engine capacity greater than 2050cc 16 valve and upwards as well as all two-wheel turbo charged vehicles will be classified in this Group(A balance of performance might be applied in extreme circumstances) . This Group includes two-wheel drive space frame normally aspirated vehicles.

SARC 4: All two-wheel drive normally aspirated unrestricted production vehicles with
an engine capacity between 1600cc 16 valve and 2049cc 16 valve will be classified in this Group. Straight-cut dog box gearboxes will be permissible

SARC 5: All two-wheel drive normally aspirated unrestricted production vehicles with an engine capacity between 0cc and 1660cc 8 valve will be Classified in this Group. Straight-cut dog box gearboxes will be permissible

SARC 6: All offroad space framed vehicles with an unlimited engine capacity

SARC 7: All Side-by-side vehicles with a maximum engine capacity of 1200cc.
Rotary Engines An Engine factor will be added to all rotary powered vehicles. Engine cc x 1.614 will be used to determine engine cc.

Sequential Gearboxes All vehicles in Group C & D fitted with a sequential gearbox will automatically move up one Group as a matter of Balance of performance.
